Musée Fernand Leger

Musée Fernand Leger

Considered as a great figure of Contemporary Art, Fernand Leger works, rich and consistent, shined through the first half of the 20th Century. After The War, themes of the City and the Machine took all the attention of the painter. Inspired by the modern life, this artist who lived in New York asserts a "New Realism" dedicated to the plastic beauty of the industrial civilisation, integrating urban signs and mechanical design while the human figure, standardised, is reduced to geometry.
