For many years the home of a venerable Italian racing car driver, it was recently discovered and completely restored by a well-known British travel journalist and author. The property is only 5 minutes from Valbonne and close by the historic towns of Mougins and Grasse. It sits in the heart of the Côte d’Azur, 30 minutes from Nice airport and with ready access to Cannes, Antibes, Nice, and Monaco.
The Bastide provides 6 spacious air-conditioned bedroom suites, all with dedicated bathrooms, and a large 1st floor playroom that can be converted into additional accommodation. It is very well appointed in every sense, fitted by Mark Wilkinson and Fired Earth, with two kitchens (summer and winter), heated pool with automatic cover, high speed internet with full WiFi coverage, large flat screen TVs and iPhone speakers.
The house is ideal for 2-3 families, or up to 6 couples, and is a suitable venue for a small wedding, anniversary or party. The house has plenty of spots for dining from the open courtyard for lazy breakfasts to the shaded pool house and olive grove for lunches, and the top terrace for evening dinner or aperitifs over a game of petanque.
It is also an ideal venue for special events such as wedding receptions and celebrations.
