The Beautiful Beaches of Saint Tropez

There’s much talk about the beautiful beaches of Saint Tropez, but when you start asking, few people know much about them.  Here’s a quick guide:

Pampelonne – probably the best known beach on the Saint Tropez peninsula, Pampelonne refers to the middle section of a sweeping 4.5km bay near Ramatuelle.  Frequented by the rich and trendy, its home to the famous Club 55 Beach Bar.

Tahiti Beach - at the northern end of Pampelonne Bay has a good selection of restaurants as well as the oldest beach club (established in 1946) called simply Tahiti Beach.

Nikki Beach - is located at the southern end of Pampelonne and is where most of the clubs and beach bars are located.

Salins – a small beach with restaurant of the same name located just before Pampelonne.

Bonne Terrace – the only beach accessible within the beautiful rugged Cap Camarat headland.

L’Escalet – a little hidden gem of a beach just south of Cap Camarat and sheltered by the headland.

Gigaro Beach - quieter, family friendly beach near the village of La Croix Valmer.

Sylvabelle – a stairway walk down the cliff shouldn’t discourage a visit to this pretty sandy beach near Gigaro.

Bouillabaisse – conveniently located just before the entrance to Saint Tropez village, this family beach enjoys lovely views across the bay.
